Club Night Photos for 10th January 2018 - Guest Demonstrator - Bryan Milham

Our demonstrator for January was Bryan Milham who chose to turn a long stem goblet as his task for the evening. This was made from contrasting woods - yew for the cup, lid and base, with a stem of American black walnut. Bryan is a maestro with the skew chisel and amply demonstrated his ability by turning a very fine finial and a slender stem using a variety of skew chisels, including a palm skew. The result was a very elegant and attractive goblet.
The display table included a pair of candlesticks, with eccentric stems in purpleheart, by Steve Body and a yew bowl by Bob Wells who was inspired by the Nikos Siragas demonstration in December.
